After a week off from action the Wheats come into a very important December. First up is a difficult trip to Bedworth. Selection again was very tough for the coaches with over 30 lads wanting to play 1st XV rugby. Some tough decisions leaving out some very important players over the past few weeks.
The 2 teams met at the beginning of this season in the cup where Wheats ran out 56-8 winners at the Stade.
Bedworth are on a good run of form, with 4 wins on the bounce. They sit in 4th place with 19 points from 7 games. The Wheats are still unbeaten in the league and sit joint top with Burbage but with Wheats with a much better points difference.
Team News
Wheats only make a handful of changes from the side that beat Redditch last time out. Liam McCrea is back at 3 after recovering from a slight injury. Dean Beauchamp, James Przybek and Charlie also come in to the always strong pack.
Steve Pahal returns back to the wing and Jamie Hutton is set to line up at fullback after having to work on the same day as the Redditch game.
A real strong bench for the Wheats yet again showing incredible strength in depth. Andy Haughian and Ross Harrison are set to play their first games since October against Rugeley. Josh Manning could get his first appearance of the season from the bench.
Coaches Corner
Another tough week of selection but we feel we have chosen well. Some tactical changes from last time out v Redditch.
Bedworth will be a very tough test, after having a resurgence recently and winning 4 on the spin. We will need to be on form from kick off.
